How the heck do you even write with your phone?! Because I just can't text
everything out. It takes too long and the screen is too small for me. I
like to do the e-mail response to comments, and I find that to be really
useful. I use a lot of G Drive/Docs too and find it really useful. The
issue is more or less not having an internet connection on my laptop. I can
use Bluetooth but can more or less only transfer files, or use my
screen/keyboard/speaker as a device for my phone. Which is more useful than
nothing, right?
We used to spend approx. the same amount on food each week, and that was
mostly without buying in bulk (difficult to do without a car, or space in
your house). Once we're able to, I want to try my hand at
stockpiling/couponing and bulk buying. Like, I'd use a grocery delivery
service to buy larger quantities of produce or meat, and portion them off
myself. Pop it all in the freezer, etc. I've always been about stretching
my dollar as far as I can, and I think that's a necessary requirement for
all poor people - I mean, especially those living in shelters. I think that
when it comes to the shelter system, the city is so unrealistic about what
it means to live in poverty. Like you said just about the sandwiches alone
- it's just so unrealistic to buy them premade. If I could go to a deli and
buy sliced turkey breast by the lb, I could get a week's worth of
sandwiches for the price of a premade one.
That farm/petting zoo sounds like a lot of fun!
The beach is obviously free, so is going to park. I've done a lot of
museums, so I'm really interested in the zoo. It's really not very
expensive. Free is still better. LOL But they usually only have free
admission days during off season UGH :( Still, it's a better investment
than going to a movie IMO. When we go to the movies, we spend approx $35.
We can probably go to the zoo, spend all day there, have a meal, and still
spend less. What I'd like to do is have an outing every other week, or
twice a month.Preferably, someplace we haven't actually been yet!
