Just a little bit ago, I read a comment in a FB group of a guy who has been using the same towel for 13 year – a wedding gift, it has sentimental value. He’s going to keep using it until it unravels.

Thomas holds on to sentimental items. He holds on to photographs. He has our HS prom photo as well as another professionally taken one still in his wallet. They’re in terrible condition. Probably would be better off in a protective casing inside a photo album, but I don’t want to tamper with that. He is willingly keeping us close.

If you want to know how much someone loves you, observe their actions.

Thomas and I aren’t the type of couple to share private or intimate details, or anything of that nature on social media for all our family and friends to read. Shoot, I don't even share in-person with my best friend and he keeps our personal life out of the ears of his friends and family as well. I think that’s embarrassing and there is a level of privacy that needs to protected. When I see couples over-share on Facebook, tbh I cringe a little.

Love is sacred. In a way. Special moments are sacred and not always meant to be shared via megaphone.

Sometimes I feel this urge to “share” or “show-off” that Thomas went out at 2AM, in 16-degree weather, to get me 2 pints of chocolate ice cream from the corner store. Sometimes I want to tell everyone how thoughtful and loving he is. How happy I am. How much he serves his wife, in a very…noble way. But, I don’t. It doesn’t matter what anyone else knows, thinks or believes of our love, we live it and breath it everyday and nothing can take that from us.

Who am I?

Well, for one, just throwing it out there, I plan to keep a sense of anonymity for this blog. The reason for that is because this is going to serve as a TRUE journal -- meaning, I am not writing this to build my outer persona -- which is the ME that I present to the world. This journal is to express myself, to reflect, and to otherwise share what I would not share with people in my life. These are the secrets. These are the inner reflections. Thoughts, desires, contemplations that are not quite ripe enough to share with the world.

Things that you'll probably hear about on my blog (which I also mentioned in my Bio)

Sex, relationships, & marriage.
Reproductive heath, pregnancy, miscarriage, infertility.
Food, Fat, & Recipes.
Student, Academics, College.
Social/Political Issues.
Books & Music.
Musings & Poetry.
Life.

You're probably thinking, damn, "Reproductive heath, pregnancy, miscarriage, infertility." sticks out like a sore thumb. I actually originally planned to use this blog as a sort of notebook/calendar/journal just to jot down daily results to ovulation and pregnancy tests.

I plan to also share regular day to day thing -- what I did that day, ect. Small achievements. Which, as you should know, add up to the real bulk of a full life.
