Poetry & other thangs

december_solsticeI just love the way poetry, especially slam poetry, makes me feel. Nothing moves me so far out of my comfort zone, but in a good way, the way poetry does.
I feel like I'm really close to a break-through. There is just something about these past few months, I feel like I'm on the verge of something. I think *that* feeling, I've been feeling, is probably the feeling that eventually pushes me to continue writing. It's hard to explain. I feel all these things. Music hits me in a deeper place than it has in a long time. And, it's not even lyrical stuff. I've been listening to piano pieces by Ludovico Einaudi. Recently really getting into Yiruma. This stuff speaks DIRECTLY to my soul. That is the best way I could describe it. It leaves me breathless. You know what this reminds me of? FUNERAL MUSIC. LMFAO
