I just write on my phone and copy-paste to the other place (you can also theoretically Email it to yourself), but my wife uses Google Drive/Docs and just syncs her phone with it and then grabs the text when she's on her computer.
We spend about 50-$70 a week in groceries normally I think... Recently we've been spending a bit less because we've only been buying food like twice a week (instead of once every 2 days or so). But yeah, having your own place is a big factor in that, since I can just make sandwiches at home for way cheaper than I can buy them at the store for example...
Here there's a lot of times where the zoos / museums will have "free admission days", so you might want to check out if there's any events like that that you can go to instead. For example I'm going to a farm/petting zoo tomorrow which is just always free for some reason.
