Lost in The Wasteland

I've been AFK for a while. I think my last post was over 2 weeks ago! Can you believe I've been on Live Journal for exactly 3 months today?! I know this because I bought a premium account when I started, and it just ran out last night.

I've been playing a lot of Fallout! Man, it's such a great game!

But, what I really came here to share is...I'm employed! I had an interview this morning for a tutoring gig...and I nailed it! Happy employment :)

CONGRATS!!

still no job on my end, no one's even gotten back to me saying they don't want me. i'm working more on my books, and school will start in january - if there's enough room for me to get in - so i have to study more beforehand to prepare myself.

i've been playing the .hack// saga, currently on the third game called "outbreak" i think it is.

i haven't been on LJ much either but i really haven't been doing much except for working on my books and writing messages to people online. i switched to using homemade toothpaste now and started using coconut oil...

I wish I could be as excited, but it seems like the job either 1. Tots not legit 2. The lady I spoke to...made a mistake...they've just been ducking my emails. OH WELL..

Did u participate in NaNoWriMo?? I wanted to ask you about that but...alas, I forgot Lol!

Hows your projects going? How's school?

I love how you're always being super innovative with food and other types of DIY stuff.

I didn't do NaNo, I started working on nonfiction books and then I fell out of working on anything at all for a while... now I've started again. Right now I'm working on "how to learn languages" but a couple days ago it was one for Chinook Jargon... last month it was for Japanese... orz

I had to quit the class because due to how my house is, it'd have been impossible to study everything that was required and pass. I'm trying to sign up for the same course at half the speed for spring, and the goal was to get really ahead during this semester while I wasn't doing anything, but I ended up not getting much ahead either. I have to get back to working on that ;_; I don't know if I'll even make it into the class this time because if you've quit it once, you can't just register as normal the second time, you have to do a special re-registration and they'll only let you in if they have room.

If I keep making myself work on Japanese somehow or other I'll just get further and further ahead by the time I can keep taking the class though... and even if I for some reason never make it back in, I can just take the Japanese national language placement exam instead. I also have to sign up for the same exam for Swedish soon....

The books and things are going okay, I'm going a lot slower than I should be and I keep switching between which one I'm writing on but at least it's "going". I started learning to draw a couple days ago (my wife is teaching me). I've also been experimenting with magnifying sheets, you can see it here:
